Two Rossini Wines Score Highly in Wine Enthusiast

Updated: Aug 17

Wine Enthusiast has rated the 2019 Rossini Cabernet Sauvignon a 91, and the 2019 Rossini Rose a 90 after rating the wines last October.

The Cabernet is made from fruit harvested in 2019 from Quintessence Vineyard in Red Mountain Washington, and was fermented at our location in Portland, Oregon before being aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months. Wine Enthusiast remarked the wine is a ".. balanced cab ... packed with aromas and flavors of black currants, black olives and cigar box cedar" with "fine-grained tannins [that] are matched by surprisingly bright acidity".

The Rose, made from Sangiovese grown in Washington state was fermented in stainless steel to preserve brightness and aroma. Michael Alberty from Wine Enthusiast poetically describes the wine as follows.

"Ripe red raspberry and casaba melon aromas drift slowly from the glass, beckoning you to pull up a hammock and chill. The sweet delight of a cold donut peach slice joins forces with flavors like lemon verbena, toasted filberts and a starchy note similar to a warm corn tortilla."

Rossini Rose retails for $20 and is also currently available, although get it fast, at the time of publication there are only 4 cases of this delicious wine left.
